| The Westover Inn, built in 1867, is situated on the Thames River in the picturesque town of St. Marys - just a short drive from the cities of London and Stratford, site of the renowned Stratford Festival. Westover's status as one of Ontario's most popular inns is based on the historic ambience and award-winning cuisine. |
| William and Joseph Hutton built the main house, now called the Manor, in 1867. The Roman Catholic Church acquired the estate in the 1930's and operated it as a seminary. During the 1970's the seminary was sold to a group of families experimenting with communal living. The property was again purchased in 1985 and the Victorian mansion underwent upgrades combining modern luxury with its natural nineteenth century charm. ( more ... ) |
